FAQ

What is CBD and How Does it Work?

CBD refers to the Cannabidiols or a panel of parts in the cannabis plant. These are the components that most interest those seeking healing. The parts are non-psychotropic meaning that no THC is present, in other words, no high is given. The CBDs in Glow Water come from hemp. Some other plants that CBDs can be extracted from are marijuana, clove, Rosemary, flax, carrot and oregano. These cannabinoids contain a smaller spectrum of CBDs. Hemp Iis believed to be the most beneficial, since it has the largest spectrum available. This large spectrum is commonly known as the “entourage effect.”

What are people Using CBD For?

Many health benefits and pain relief claims have been made about CBDs. They seem to help treat a huge arena of issues from sleep disorders to anxiety. Humans have a system that inherently reacts to changes in the body called ECS- the endocannabinoid system. ECS uses CBDs like keys to unlock communication between all our systems, this process is called homeostasis. This network works in harmony with CBDs therefore benefiting the following systems:

  • Lymph

  • Respiratory

  • Digestive

  • Endocrine

  • Exocrine

  • Sensory

  • Renal

  • Nervous

  • Reproductive

  • Cardiovascular

  • Muscular & Skeletal

In addition, many seek alternatives to western medicine and for those who fear becoming addicted to pain pills, CBDs are non habit forming and work with the body over time to manage health issues.

How much should I take?

Less = More and the effects are cumulative, so better to start low and slowly over time work up to a higher amount taking into account the severity of symptoms. (More for accute pain.)

Many people will feel the effects of 1 teabag brewed for 5 minutes or longer. Each individual is different and must be treated case by case.
